OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to guide, influence and support the contract management of Capital Procurement.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Strategic alignment with supply chain.
- Advise, support and contribute on governance issues.
- Recommend enhancements as appropriate to project procurement policies, procedures and specifications.
- Partake in selected AA PLc capital procurement initiatives.
- Support the AA PLc SHE initiative.
- Establish best business practice of contracts.
- Revise, develop, advise and establish contract strategies taking cognizance of supply chain initiatives.
- Identify procurement packages for strategic sourcing and inclusion in supply chain frame/federal contracts.
- Coordinate, facilitate and resolve contractual claims and disputes of contracts.
- Advise, guide and support program directors and project managers on contract issues.
- Develop and establish risk management profile.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Relevant commercial or technical qualification.
- Legal qualification or experience would be advantageous.
- Must have experience with:
- Suppliers
- Capital procurement-mining,
- Major industrial projects
- Legal/commercial,
- Short term insurance,
- Senior management
- International experience.
- 10 years relevant experience.
